A Menu for Hope

As I am new to food blogging, I am also very proud and happy to participate to the A Menu for Hope campaign organized by a great food blogger Chez Pim, in order to raise funds to support the victims of the earthquake in the Kashmir region of India and Pakistan. A truly great idea as we draw to the end of year, and these people are still in need of a lot of help.
How does it work?
The rules are simple. By donating a minimum of $5, you will enter a virtual raffle to win a prize. Your ticket entitles you to win a goodie from the list of prizes . Just indicate in the comment section which one you are interested in. At the end of December 23d, a drawing will be made, which will give you your chance to win. The results will be announced after Jan. 1.
The money raised will be collected by Unicef, via the First Giving website , and no money will pass through our hands.
My contribution to the raffle is the following prize: 3 bars of the excellent Belgium chocolate NewTree, for those of you, like me I hope, very fond of quality dark chocolate.

Thanks for your contribution!

Thanks so much Bea for your help on this campaign. We’ve raised so much money I could hardly believe my eyes every time I check the donation tally.
It’s the amazing effort from everyone that made this campaign so successful, thank you for your part in it.
cheers

[...] My first participation was last year and this year, I am excited to join a team of many more food bloggers who are going to support the event by donating prizes. This event is running for the third consecutive year. More details can be found on Pim’s blog here but in a nutshell, if you are not familiarized with the event, A Menu For Hope is a fund raising campaign which will support the United Nations World Food Programme, and will occur between Dec 11 until 22. We are fortunate to be able to eat pretty much what we want, when we want. So many people around the world cannot. By doing even just a little gesture, we can help. [...]
