Problem with Internet Explorer and Images Not Loading
Some readers have brought to my attention an issue affecting Internet Explorer on Windows, preventing the pictures of my blog to display properly. Thanks to P., the issue has been resolved. For the geeks interested, it was an issue related to XML content appearing in certain JPEG that broke the MSIE image rendering component; the xml was probably put in the images by iPhoto, which I use on my Mac. P. fixed it using Netpbm and Perl.
If you have this problem, you should clear your cache and restart your browser.
My blog has also been moved to a new server, which will increase performance.
A big thank you to P. and to those who let me know about the issue. I feel sorry to say that it must have been an issue for a few weeks, and I was totally unaware of it, until a few days ago.

Glad you got the problem fixed and thanks for tip on what to do if we have a similar problem.

But I was lucky: I wasted an entire weekend on this exact problem about 3 years ago, so I had a sense of what I was looking for after I remembered the details. [...]
