I promised a little more information about how to register to our exciting workshop in Andalusia!

If you are interested in joining, you will need to pay a US$ 300 non refundable deposit securing your spot to the workshop. We will ask you to sign a contract detailing the workshop terms and conditions (details about payments, cancellation policies, limit of liability, etc). Email us if you want to see it before signing up. It will be emailed to you once you register. We reserve the right to cancel your registration if this document is not signed and returned to us.

Once the deposit paid, the balance due of US $2,350 is due by April 8th, 2013.
Registration to pay for the deposit and secure your spot opens on February 14th at 10 AM EST. Space is limited to 14 students.

To pay for the deposit (and also the balance), follow this link here to get started.

You will use the same link (an access code to enter will be sent to those of you already registered) to pay for the balance (starting on February 21st, 2013, for those who decide to pay early). Any more questions, let us know.

A few practical things to know:

Closest airport is Seville (website here) (10 km west of the city; train station is in the city centre) but we suggest flying to Madrid and then take the train to Seville (Marta tells me that’s what Spanish people do!) If you fly to Madrid, you will need to take the fast train to Seville (AVE train to Seville (SANTA JUSTA ESTATION) from Madrid (PUERTA DE ATOCHA)) if you don’t have a car.

Rooms are single occupancy but if you wanted to bring a companion not taking the classes, you could also do so. The extra charge for the room, food and visits would be US$ 750. Contact us if you are interested. In such case however, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to cater for transportation for all, as our current transportation plan is based on 14 students.

Email Marta (info@martamunozcalero.com) for more details on traveling to Spain.

Any other questions, feel free to drop us a line too!

We hope to see you in Andalusia, Spain.

  4. Hello,

I would be interested in joining, but don’t understand how the week is planned and what is included in the price.

    Could you please confirm?

    Thank you.
    Diane

  5. Hi Diane,

Thanks for your note. You will be staying at El Hotel Esparragal near Seville. The workshop comprises 4 days instruction/visits and 5 nights (Sunday, Mon, Tue, Wd, Thursday). Are also included transportation to local visits and 5 breakfasts, 4 lunches, and 4 dinners. What is excluded is your transportation (airfare, train) to Seville (closest city to the hotel). Let us know if you have more questions. We hope to see you in Andalusia! 6. Hi Béa!

I’m joining you on this workshop, finally you are doing one here in Spain (i’m from Barcelona). I can’t wait to be there! I’m going by car, 950 km from Barcelona to Sevilla but with a lot of excitement!

    See you on June!

    Anna

  7. Would you touch on the prep styling as well? I think prep styling is also important and hard to do well.

  8. Hi Sabrina,

Do you mean the job of the assistant to the food stylist or the many steps a food stylist follows to prepare the “beauty”?

In short, we will definitely cover the step-by-step process involved to prepare a beauty shot by the stylist (with tips and pointers into the workflow). Let me know whether you have more questions.

  9. Bea,

From what I know, and when the client has more budget, the photo shoot could have two stylists, Food stylist doing food prep, and Prep stylist doing plate, spoon, napkin, glasses, candles, etc type of things to create the look and feel to accompaniment the food.

I think you do both on your food photos, and you did well. But I always have a hard time to decide which props and color to use.

  10. Oh yes, you meant prop stylist. Yes! Definitely embedded in what we will discuss–and surely practice while styling. It’s one the most fun parts of the job, I find. At home, I feel as if I owned a store–love to go through the selection and can definitely guide students inside the process 😉 So yes, we will do that too.

  11. I will mail you a deposit check on Monday.

I saw Anna is driving from Barcelona to Sevilla and wondering if she wants two girls carpool with her and share gas?

My friend and I will arrive in Barcelona first for a few days.

  12. Hi Sabrina,

Super. I will put you in touch with Anna, if you want to. Do you have my mailing address?

  13. Hi Bea,

I tried to send you an email today.
I am wondering if is it any availability for another person.

I would love to meet you and Marta.

/Sabrina R. (not the same of the message before on this post 🙂 )
